Voice Medicine Consultation
Dr. Prof. Alfonso Gianluca Gucciardo
The voice medicine consultation is a comprehensive service designed to assess and improve your vocal health. Through a transdisciplinary approach, we offer an in-depth analysis of vocal function, beneficial for voice professionals such as singers, actors, teachers, and speakers, as well as anyone who wishes to maintain a healthy voice.

What the consultation includes:

-
Listening and Vocal Needs Analysis
The consultation begins with a listening session, where the doctor or speech therapist gathers information about your vocal experience, any issues, vocal habits, and specific goals. -
Vocal Spectrography
A non-invasive examination that graphically analyzes the quality of your voice through a spectrogram, visualizing the intensity and frequency of the sounds produced. This provides detailed insights into timbre and resonance. -
Phonetography
Phonetography measures the vocal range and dynamic range (from softest to loudest) of your voice. It is particularly useful for professionals who use their voice as an artistic tool, providing a complete understanding of vocal capacity. -
Laryngoscopy
Laryngoscopy is a visual examination of the larynx and vocal cords, performed with a special instrument called a laryngoscope. This examination helps detect any anatomical or functional alterations of the vocal cords that may affect vocal quality.

Consultation Objective
The goal is to provide an accurate diagnosis, identify any vocal issues, and propose personalized strategies to improve the health and performance of your voice. At the end of the visit, you will receive specific recommendations for maintaining and optimizing your vocal apparatus, enhancing vocal performance, and preventing future problems.
