Mindset of a Performer

Iskra Milkova

This workshop addresses the psychological side of performing: confidence, self-belief, handling mistakes, criticism and performance pressure, supporting singers in developing mental resilience on and off the stage. Through guided exercises and real performance scenarios, you will explore practical strategies to stay present and focused while singing. You will learn how to manage inner dialogue, transform fear into expressive energy and build a stronger connection between your mental state and your vocal performance.

The workshop also creates a supportive environment where sharing experiences becomes part of the learning process. By observing others and reflecting on your own reactions, you will gain greater awareness of your habits on stage and develop tools to approach performances with clarity, confidence and authenticity. Rather than aiming to eliminate anxiety, the focus is on understanding it and working with it. This approach allows you to develop a more stable and reliable performance mindset, helping you respond to challenges with greater flexibility, control and artistic intention.
