Katia is the CEO and Founder of the International Singing Camp, guiding singers and teachers worldwide. She also owns Notevole Shows and Events, creating remarkable musical experiences. With experience as an Area Director and Representative for international singing organizations, Katia inspires others to sing and teach beyond the ordinary.

Katia Losito was born in Bari, a sunny seaside city in southern Italy, where she still lives and works today. She is a singer, Performing Arts Medicine Specialist, Vocal Coach, Teacher Trainer, Public Speaking Instructor and Singing Reviewer. Her clients include singers and vocal students of all levels, both in Italy and internationally. She also trains public speakers to use their voices effectively and deliver impactful communication, and provides artistic and technical support for musical projects in recording studios.

 

With nearly 20 years of vocal study, Katia has explored a wide range of techniques and methodologies, particularly in the United States and across Europe. She has studied Speech Level Singing and Estill Voice Craft, developing an approach informed by scientific research, pedagogical principles and historical vocal traditions. Her work takes into account each singer’s vocal structure, psychological dynamics and artistic identity.

 

Deeply inspired by the bel canto tradition, Katia has grounded her teaching in its core principles, integrating them with a modern and functional understanding of the voice. Her lessons focus on developing coordination, vocal freedom and consistency through exercises derived from bel canto practice, adapted to the needs of contemporary singers.

 

Katia is the founder of the International Singing Camp, the first international retreat for singers in Italy, officially registered as a trademark by EUIPO. The Camp offers an immersive and high-level training experience, bringing together singers and teachers from around the world. She is also the founder of Notevole Shows and Events, a company dedicated to the creation and production of high-quality musical performances and events.

She is the founder and director of the Belcanto Italia Teacher Training Program, a certification pathway for singing teachers that integrates bel canto tradition, scientific knowledge and modern pedagogy, with the aim of training conscious, competent and independent vocal educators.

 

Katia continues her professional development with Greg Enriquez, an internationally recognized trainer of singers and singing teachers, for whom she holds deep respect and gratitude. She holds a Certified Instructor qualification from the Institute for Vocal Advancement and has served as Area Representative for Italy and Malta. In 2019, she joined Faremusic.it as a music reviewer. She is also certified as an Advanced Vocal Coach by Modern Vocal Training and serves as Regional Mentor for Italy, contributing to the training of singing teachers at an international level.

 

Additionally, Katia holds a university diploma in Performing Arts Medicine in Italy, specializing in the prevention, health and functional development of the performing voice. She has obtained the Vocal Health First Aider certification from Vocal Health Education in London (NCFE accredited) and has presented her research at the World Expo Voice Teachers, an international conference on vocal technique.

Her approach has proven effective across a wide range of styles and genres. She views teaching not simply as instruction, but as a process of guidance and awareness, helping singers and teachers develop their voice with clarity, autonomy and artistic depth.
